Oak Hill has been in continuous operation as a working farm since 1844. This historic jewel features three beautiful indoor spaces, 267 sprawling acres of storybook grounds and mountain views, and countless enchanted settings to make lifelong memories for you and your guests. In addition to hosting beautiful weddings, we grow horse-quality hay, offer full-service horse boarding, host trail riding, and breed legendary Arabian Horse bloodlines.

No tent required! For your wedding or other special occasion, we offer three unique buildings, plus an endless variety of outdoor spaces. Our Big Red Barn features 5,000 square feet of clear, unobstructed concrete floor space with a 20' ceiling height, and can seat up to 350 guests in reception configuration. Our unique Round-Top Barn, built in 1948, features beautiful cathedral-style architecture and can be used for your wedding ceremony of up to 150 guests, smaller receptions and parties, or cocktail hour. Our 1916 folk-Victorian farmhouse is an included amenity as private "get-ready" space for your bridal party. The wraparound front porch, recently restored in 2023, is a beautiful location for your first look, or family photos.
Outdoors, the options for ceremony sites or sunset photos are limited only by your imagination, with the Black Mountains and Mount Mitchell standing proudly in the background.

For Equestrians, we invite you to call Oak Hill "home" with our boarding services; to come and ride on our miles of trails, and try out our high-quality horse hay. In addition, our sister company Oak Hill Arabians, LLC offers Arabian horse breeding services for performance, versatility, and longevity, utilizing classic Arabian bloodlines, with our champion stallion Kharnelian Bey (Huckleberry Bey x Khemos Prefrance by Khemosabi) standing at stud.
As a certified Arabian Horse Association™ Discovery Farm®, we also offer you the opportunity to explore Arabian horses and ask questions in a relaxed, non-sales atmosphere. We invite you to come see us, and learn makes Arabians truly special -- and if you like, to make one or more of them a unique part of your wedding or engagement photographs!
For Hikers and Outdoor Enthusiats, our farmstead includes approximately 170 acres of rugged mountainland, scattered with waterfalls, creeks, and trails -- and adjoins the newly-formed 6,000-acre Bob's Creek State Natural Area. Our trails connect with those of Bob's Creek, and we offer convenient on-site parking.
