Boarding and Riding at Oak Hill Farm. Appear Photography

We invite you to call Oak Hill "home" with our Boarding Services, to come and ride on our trails and in our arena and round-pen, and to try out our high-quality hay, which is sure to satisfy your picky eaters! We're located just 35 minutes from Asheville, 25 minutes from Morganton, and 40 minutes from the Tryon International Equestrian Center.

Boarding Services

We currently offer Pasture Boarding with shelter, subject to availability. While this is not "stall board", it is much more than typical pasture boarding, in that your horse has sturdy shelter, free accesss to hay and pasture, and available twice-daily feeding. In fact, our Pasture Board includes many amenities for you and your horse that many "full-service" farms don't! Since we are breeders, ourselves, and since our farm hosts weddings, special occasions, and photo shoots, we are very vigilant about the safety and appearance of our pastures, sheds, fences, and driveways. Our Pasture Boarding includes:

  • All-Weather Run-In Sheds
  • High-Quality, mixed-grass hay (included)
  • 70 foot round pen
  • Access to miles of trails on our 267-acre historic farm
  • Private tack storage
  • No barbed wire in pastures - wood & high-tensile only!
  • Deworming and blanketing / fly mask service available
  • Vet and farrier scheduling/attending available
  • Dawn to dusk farm access (nights by appointment)
  • Well-maintained parking and trailer turnaround

Our pasture boarding with shelter starts at $350 per month, for "hay/pasture only" feeding. Grain and full-service, twice-daily feeding is available for an additional fee; the rate depends on your horse's needs. We feed Southern States, Legends, and ProElite feeds. Contact us for pricing and availability!

Trail Riding, Arena Use, and Clinics

Our boarders have virtually unlimited access to our 70-foot round pen and miles of trails on our 267-acre historic farm. We do allow access by outside clients for personal riding, training, trail riding, and clinics. We are happy to host you when scheduled in advance. For outside clients, we charge a nominal fee for farm and trail access, which goes exclusively to the maintenance and improvement of our trails and facilities. A current Coggins Test is required. Contact us to schedule your visit!

Hay Sales

With a herd of picky eaters of our own, Hay is something that we take very seriously at Oak Hill. Ask around, and local equestrians will tell you that ours is some of the best in the area! Roughly one-third of our 267-acre farm is devoted to high quality horse hay production. Our hay consists primarily of a fescue-Orchardgrass mixture. Our current hay offerings include:

  • 18x14x36" Square bales (Stored inside): SOLD OUT
  • 4x5' Round Bales (Stored inside): $80/each

Oak Hill Arabians

Performance. Versatility. Longevity. Temperament. All hallmarks of the Classic Arabian Horse -- and our core breeding goals at Oak Hill. We specialize in breeding lifelong companions focused on these qualities, utilizing old-world Crabbet / CMK and Polish bloodlines. Bay El Bey. Khemosabi. Bask. Raffon. While these incredible horses can never be duplicated, we believe that their legendary performance, handsome looks, and noble temperament are the perfect foundation to "build" Arabian horses for today. Classic never goes out of style! We feel that the Arabian's unique versatility makes him a standout among breeds.  It is this unique versatility which we seek to breed, foster, and enjoy, with our champion stallion Kharnelian Bey (Huckleberry Bey x Khemos Prefrance by Khemosabi) standing at stud.

Proprietors with stallion Kharnelian Bey
